This evening is shared between the pianist Moritz Ernst and the duo Johannes Nästesjö and Sten Sandell.

German musician Moritz Ernst currently tours as a pianist, harpsichordist and chamber musician with a repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary music. The music of the 20th and 21st centuries is particularly close to him and he has premiered several works, as well as collaborated closely with composers such as Peter Eötvös, Sandeep Bhagwati, Kent Olofsson, Miklos Maros and others. Moritz Ernst plays piano works by Stockhausen, Bhagwati, Denerin and Poe at this concert.

The duo Johannes Nästesjö and Sten Sandell play improvised and real-time composed music in the contemporary European spirit. The music is based on conversations rather than monologues with plenty of space for both musicians to phrase freely, but still together. At times intense, extremely rhythmically complex and compact, the music is also constantly ready for momentary tonal, dynamic, rhythmic and spectral changes.
